Fundación Repsol and the Aurora Association, in partnership with Tarragona City Council, are promoting the 8th planting event on the banks of the Tarragona's Francolí river.
The initiative, of an environmental and social character, aims to boost the recovery and conditioning of the Francolí river's natural ecosystem. During this new edition around 1,500 trees and bushes, specifically native Mediterranean riverbank vegetation, will be planted in Francolí.
The activity has been planned for all ages and particularly for the young ones, who'll be able to enjoy an exciting opening show. A fabulous way to spend a family day and help towards environmental preservation.
In addition to planting new native specimens, maintenance of planting from earlier editions will be carried out. A team of 18 people with cognitive disabilities from the Aurora Association will carry out land preparation tasks and, after planting, will go on to undertake preservation tasks for 8 months.
To participate you must first sign up through www.reforestatgn.org; by telephone at 977 520 205 (Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.) or by sending your information (name, surname, telephone, and e-mail) to email@example.com.
