Fundación Repsol, the ONCE Foundation and the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) have signed a collaboration agreement to encourage disabled people to undertake postdoctoral research in the chemical sector.

The agreement was signed by the Vice President of Fundación Repsol, César Gallo, the Executive Vice President of the ONCE Foundation, Alberto Durán, and the Director of the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ), Miquel A. Pericàs.

ICIQ is a non-profit research institute that carries out basic and applied research projects in the areas of catalysis, supramolecular chemistry and renewable energies, addressing these from both an experimental and computing perspective. The Institute offers high-level training in the field of new chemistry for top professionals and students, offering young, high-potential researchers the possibility of further developing their careers.

Fundación Repsol and the ONCE Foundation will each provide the ICIQ with €30,000, totalling €60,000, to help support the work of disabled researchers over a two-year period, which may be extended.

This initiative helps Fundación Repsol and the ONCE Foundation to achieve their social aims of working to ensure the employment and full integration of disabled people.
