We bring the world of energy closer to the little ones at YoMo26.02.2019
Fundación Repsol will participate in several educational activities on energy at YoMo (Youth Mobile Festival), the educational fair which will be held as part of the Mobile World Congress, in Barcelona from 26th February to 2nd March.
For the second year running, Fundación Repsol will be present at this science and technology educational event. Fundación Repsol, which is one of its main collaborators, will have a stand where the little ones can participate in teams, in the Energy Game Circuit, a fun activity that tests their knowledge on energy and the circular economy, and the fastest ones will be able to have their picture taken with Marc Márquez's motorcycle, winner of the 2018 MotoGP Championship.
In addition, with the aim of awakening the critical spirit of future generations, the Repsol Fundación invites the boys and girls who come to YoMo to share their messages on how the energy of the future should be.
In addition, the Foundation also offers the scientific show Big-Time Science, in which the public is the protagonist. Through fun and spectacular experiments, children and adults will discover how science is present in everyday life and how to make more responsible use of resources.
Over five days, YoMo Barcelona will receive 22 000 schoolchildren from all over Spain. A huge exhibition with live theatre shows, interactive workshops, and dozens of practical activities to encourage the little ones to pursue STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics).
The Fundación Repsol educational programme
Participation in YoMo is one of the activities carried out by Fundación Repsol within its educational programme, aimed at raising the awareness of future generations about the challenges of energy, awakening their critical spirit, and encouraging them to build a more sustainable world together.
Under the umbrella of Learnenergy, Fundación Repsol organises activities both inside and outside the classroom, with workshops for primary and secondary school students, the Mobile Energy Classroom, or the energy audits programme in schools, Energy with Consciousness. It also participates in outreach events for young people, such as the Repsol Science Weeks.
All the educational activities offered by Fundación Repsol are free, and the schedule with the next initiatives is available at fundacionrepsol.com.
