We're looking for the new champions of energy efficiency03.04.2018
This national-level competition tests the students' work during an energy audit simulation and awards creative improvement proposals to make their schools more efficient places. The winners will receive prizes of €7000 and €3000 respectively, with the goal of putting the proposals made in the audit into practice.
Schools in A Coruña, Ciudad Real, Madrid, Murcia, Tarragona, Bizkaia, and, for the first time this year, Cantabria have participated in this fourth edition of Energy with Consciousness.
Starting today, the 35 schools participating in this programme this year will be able to register for this new edition of the championship and prove that their students are energy efficiency champions. All they need to do is fill in and send the form attached to theterms and conditions, along with the audit report, before 29th April to this email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
After a preliminary analysis phase, the five best reports will make it to the final round of the Energy with Consciousness Championship, which will be held on Repsol Campus on 28th June 2018.
During this event, the student teams will have to defend their audit report and improvement proposals in-person before a live jury. The two best presentations will be the winners of this edition's championship and will receive a cash prize to be used for the improvements proposed in the school.
Last year's winners were IES San Juan Bautista de la Concepción (Almodóvar del Campo, Ciudad Real) and INS Berenguer D'Entença (L'Hospitalet de l'Infant, Tarragona).
2017–2018 school year
More than 1000 students from 35 schools and over 80 Repsol volunteers have taken part in this initiative. The volunteers contributed to this Fundación Repsol educational programme with their knowledge and experience.
During the programme, students became familiar with the concept of energy efficiency through a number of workshops, which helped them to carry out a simulation of an energy audit at their school. In this way they became aware of the energy used daily and learned how to be more responsible when using resources.
