The Repsol Foundation and Móstoles City Council today signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of promoting physical activity among local children. This initiative, called “Activa tu Energía” (Activate your Energy), is designed to encourage young people to take up sport from an early age and promote a healthy lifestyle among the youngest members of the community.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Móstoles, Manuel Bautista, the Councillor for Sports and Health, Ángel Álvarez, the CTO of Technology and Corporate Venturing at Repsol Technology Lab, Fernando Ruíz, and the Managing Director of the Repsol Foundation, António Calçada.

Thanks to this agreement, more than 4,000 children in Móstoles will receive a complete set of personalised equipment to use in their training sessions and basketball, football, and volleyball matches during the 2025/26 school year. The aim is to promote the importance of sport and its values for the physical and emotional development of schoolchildren.

The initiative is being developed in Móstoles, home to the Repsol Technology Lab, Repsol's innovation hub; in Cantabria and around the industrial complexes in A Coruña, Cartagena, Puertollano, and Tarragona; and in Sines (Portugal).

“Activate your energy” began last school year (2024/25) with a pilot programme developed in the areas where Repsol operates. A total of 137 sports centres and clubs registered, with more than 9,500 children participating.
