At Fundación Repsol, we have recognized the work and dedication of more than 8,000 primary, secondary, and vocational training (FP) schools throughout Spain, and their commitment to the ecological transition, climate change, and sustainability. We have had more than 12,300 registered teachers and over 300,000 students from all 17 autonomous communities participating in this free program, which promotes active learning methodologies and is available in six languages: Spanish, English, Catalan, Basque, Galician, and Valencian.
How were the winners of this year's Zinkers Awards selected?
To be eligible for these awards, participating schools had to demonstrate the knowledge they acquired throughout the school year by implementing the Zinkers programs in the classroom, highlighting their commitment to environmental education and sustainable development. Digital curriculum resources aim to introduce students to the major challenges of the future with a solid foundation of knowledge and academic rigor, while addressing their concerns and fostering their ability to improve the environment and preserve the planet. A committee of experts in education, pedagogy, and sustainability was responsible for evaluating the applications. This jury analyzed the projects and manifestos developed by the students, which included learning, commitments, and action proposals aimed at contributing to a more sustainable planet and generating a positive impact on a global scale.
