Energy and Urban Transition Sustainable and Intelligent Mobility




The Repsol Foundation and Deusto Business School are organizing the cycle of Energy and Urban Transition. Sustainable and Intelligent Mobility conferences. The conferences, which will take place October 21st and 22nd via streaming will focus on the concept of sustainable and intelligent mobility, a scope in which energetic sustainability, technological development, and industrial strength converge.

The conference will be opened by José María Guibert, the Rector of the Deusto University, Antonio Brufau, president of Repsol, Iñigo Urkullu, Lehendakari of the Basque government and Teresa Ribera, Fourth Vice President of the Government of Spain and Minister for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge

Then, two academic lectures will be given by Ivan Marten, president of Orkestra Basque Institute of Competitiveness and Mariano Marzo, Professor of the Faculty of Earth Sciences at the University of Barcelona and director of the Repsol Foundation Energy Transition Education and Research Program – University of Barcelona.

Over the course of the two days, many political figures and business representatives from the energy and mobility sectors will participate in the different round tables.

To end the conferences, Álvaro de la Rica Aspiunza, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies-Deusto Business School, Emiliano Lopez de Atxurra, president of Petronor, Juan María Aburto, Mayor of Bilbao, and Arantza Tapia, the Basque government's Minister for Economic Development and Infrastructure, Sustainability, and the Environment will speak.

The aim of this event is to open up a reflection process toward a sustainable system in sectors like the economy, the environment, and society.

This event is set in the Repsol Foundation's Cycle of conferences to promote knowledge and rigorous debate surrounding the challenges of the future of energy.
