Webinar - Technologies of the energy transition: Direct Air Capture of CO₂

Action against climate change introduced a new paradigm which is known today as energy transition. Multiple factors play a part in this process, among them are innovation and the development of new technologies to advance the decarbonisation process.

The Repsol Foundation and EsadeGeo have organised a webinar to discuss the role of technology in CO₂ capture, use, and storage (CCUS). Jordi Pedrola, Repsol Technology Lab scientist, will introduce these technologies and discuss how they can contribute to achieving the goals in the Paris Agreement.

Dr. Julio Friedmann, researcher in from the Global Energy Policy Columbia University, world expert in carbon management, will participate in this meeting. During the webinar, Dr. Friedmann will analyse direct air capture (DAC) technologies which separate CO₂from oxygen directly from the air and on a large scale, focusing on the commercial viability and stability of these solutions.

The session will be moderated by Ángel Saz-Carranza, Director, EsadeGeo and there will be a Q&A round for attendees.
