Covid-19 relief campaign with the Red Cross

Repsol and its Foundation join the Red Cross's RESPONDE Plan to meet the needs of vulnerable people in the face of coronavirus in Spain. We have launched a relief campaign in which company employees can make a donation that will go straight to this programme. In addition, the Repsol Foundation will make an additional contribution to collaborate in this initiative. #TogetherWeCanDoIt

Faced with this exceptional situation, at both Repsol and our Foundation we want to be part of the coronavirus's relief effort to help society's most vulnerable groups. That's why, among the Company's various initiatives, we've launched the Emergency Giving Platform, with the aim of giving our employees the chance of sending donations to Red Cross activities combating Covid-19 in Spain. In addition to donations made the Repsol Foundation will also make a contribution.

All donations will go straight to the Red Cross's RESPONDE Plan, which is being carried out in coordination with the Spanish government to provide urgently needed medical equipment and support for vulnerable groups.

Specifically, Repsol and its Foundation will contribute through the delivery of urgently needed items, shelter for the homeless, support for families with limited resources, psychological support and social accompaniment by phone for people in social isolation.

Through the Spanish Red Cross's plan — and thanks to help from the government, businesses, individuals, and over 40 000 volunteers — nearly one million people will receive attention and social accompaniment by phone, 25 000 families will receive needed goods, 16 000 people will receive employment-related support, and 3000 people without homes will be given a place to sleep.

This initiative will be the largest mobilisation of persons and resources in the history of the Red Cross, which is why the collaboration of businesses and institutions is essential to fighting this unprecedented health crisis.
