Faconauto mitigates the carbon footprint of its annual congress by taking part in the Green Engine marketplace

The forest with which Faconauto contributes, located in the Extremaduran town of Caminomorisco, will serve to mitigate the CO₂ emissions of Faconauto’s next Congress &Expo with a total of 677 trees of native species, which will absorb more than 175 tons of CO₂ from the atmosphere.

Faconauto, business association made up of official automotive, industrial vehicle, and agricultural machinery dealers, launches its ‘Faconauto Forest’, through the Green Engine marketplace project.

With this initiative, the association will generate a positive impact on the environment, society, and economy in the rural environment, selecting a forest from our country, namely a forest in Caminomorisco, located in the province of Cáceres, to mitigate the total calculation of the carbon footprint generated at its next 32nd Faconauto Congress & Expo, which will take place on March 1st and 2nd at IFEMA Madrid’s Palacio Municipal de Congresos.

Green Engine marketplace is a new digital tool with which it is possible to calculate the carbon footprint and choose to contribute with a reforested forest within the Green Engine project in Spain to mitigate it.

The forest supported by Faconauto has a total of 677 tress of native species, such as pine, strawberry tree, and cork oak, which will absorb more than 175 tons of CO₂ from the atmosphere.

The CO₂ absorption projects of the Green Engine project are registered in the Spanish Climate Change Office, the official certification body in our country, part of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge.
